ADVENTURES IN ART IS A NEW SERIES OF EXCLUSIVE ACTIVITY WHICH EXPLORES THE PRACTICE AND INTERESTS OF OUR EXHIBITING ARTISTS.
For the first in the series, you are invited to join Nicola Bealing for two days of practical printmaking guided by master printmaker Simon Marsh, in his West Penwith studio. For those new to printmaking this will be an extraordinary introduction to the medium, but for others there will be much to take your practice to new levels. With just six places available and lunch provided by The Cornish Hen, this promises to be an exclusive – and delicious – experience.
Nicola Bealing is a painter and printmaker based in Cornwall. She studied at Hertfordshire College of Art and the Byam Shaw School of Art, London. Her work is figurative, with enticing narratives, peppered with dark humour and palpable, surreal unease. She is currently exhibiting at Newlyn Art Gallery.
Simon Marsh is an artist and master printer. He formerly worked at Hope Sufferance Press, London before joining Michael Taylor at Paupers Press in Hoxton. Simon moved to Cornwall in 2014 where he continues to work with Paupers Press and printmaking projects with leading contemporary artists.
