THE EXCHANGE CAFE / TUE – SAT, 10.00 – 14.00

The Exchange Café is light and spacious, making it the perfect spot for coffee with friends or to sit and work for the day. We serve delicious savoury toasties using local ingredients, accompanied by a side salad grown at Growing Links’ Community Garden, as well as Polgoon soft drinks, Tugboat Teas, and Roasting Room coffee. Gluten free, vegan, and diary-free sweet treats available from Exploding Bakery and Wild Flour.

Please note:
The Exchange cafe closes at 14.00, but please feel free to enjoy the space and use our self-service coffee, tea, and cake station until the gallery closes.

We are delighted that from Easter 2024 ‘Pickle’ will be operating from The Garden Café at Newlyn Art Gallery, serving their homemade soup and fresh bread, toasted sandwiches, cakes, and savoury light bites, to eat in or takeaway. You can sit on benches in the sun-filled garden, or there is a covered seating area. Alternatively, you may take your food and drink to The Studio on the first floor if the weather is bad. The café is accessible from Newlyn Green, through the white gate. During the summer, there are deckchairs and tables on The Green, with fantastic views across Mount’s Bay and just a stone’s throw from the beach.

We are proud to have achieved plastic-free status from Plastic Free Penzance, and wherever possible use locally sourced ingredients and small, independent suppliers.

Our coffee comes from Roasting Room, based in Newquay and Tugboat based in Truro supply us with a wide choice teas.

Growing Links supplies our seasonal and locally grown salads.

The Huskee cups we use in our cafes are made of recycled materials, including waste coffee husk, and at end of life, are recycled and replaced by the manufacturer. You can buy your own from our shops! Huskee is a Certified B Corporation.

Well behaved dogs are welcome. Just ask if you would like water for them.
