For anyone who would like to ensure a quieter visit with a maximum of ten people allowed in the gallery per hour, to cater for visitors with physical disabilities, or who are neurodivergent, and might appreciate more space and a less busy environment.

The two venues are just a 2km walk apart, along the promenade between Newlyn and Penzance. Newlyn Art Gallery sits at the end of Newlyn Green as you approach from Penzance. The Exchange is just 600m from Penzance bus and train stations and the large harbour car park. Princes Street can be approached from either Market Jew Street or Chapel Street.

Buses run from the Greenmarket, Penzance to Newlyn every 15-30 minutes.

ACCESSIBILITY

Newlyn Art Gallery and The Exchange are both fully accessible. Each venue has a parking bay for visitors with limited mobility. (Please phone ahead if you would like to use them so we can ensure they are kept free.) There is a lift at Newlyn Art Gallery to access the upper gallery and Studio. We have wheelchairs available at both venues if you would like to use one during your visit. Please contact the gallery if you have any additional requirements.

BY CAR

From the M5 join the A30 after Exeter. The A30 is the main road linking all of Cornwall and is mostly dual carriageway. Follow the A30 all the way to Penzance. There are several large, public, pay and display car parks in Penzance within walking distance of The Exchange. From Penzance, follow signs to Newlyn. On entering Newlyn, drive past the gallery on your left, and follow signs to the public, pay and display car park.
