For Quiet Time visits on Tuesday afternoons (7 Sep – 5 Oct) you will need to book in advance, tickets available to book from 28 Aug
Quiet Time visits are for anyone who would like to ensure a quiet visit with a maximum of ten people allowed in the gallery per hour. During Sep & Oct there will be timed slots of 55 minutes available on Tuesday afternoons, to cater for visitors who consider themselves at greater risk of contracting Covid-19, or for those with physical disabilities, or who are neurodivergent, and might appreciate more space and a less busy environment.
Quiet Time tickets are on hold in Jul & Aug, but if you have particular needs and would prefer to visit during a quieter time please email [email protected] and we will try to arrange this for you.

The two venues are just a 2km walk apart, along the promenade between Newlyn and Penzance. Newlyn Art Gallery sits at the end of Newlyn Green as you approach from Penzance. The Exchange is just 600m from Penzance bus and train stations and the large harbour car park. Princes Street can be approached from either Market Jew Street or Chapel Street.
Buses run from the Greenmarket, Penzance to Newlyn every 15-30 minutes.

Newlyn Art Gallery and The Exchange are both fully accessible. Each has a parking bay for visitors with limited mobility. There is a lift at Newlyn Art Gallery to access the upper gallery and Studio cafe. Please contact the gallery if you have any additional requirements.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at both venues, but may not be allowed into the main gallery spaces for certain exhibitions.
TRAVELLING TO CORNWALL
Train services run frequently from London Paddington to Penzance. There are also direct trains daily from Bath and Bristol to Cornwall and its branch lines.

Flights to Cornwall arrive at Cornwall Airport just outside Newquay. Onward travel to Penzance and Newlyn is available via public transport or by hire car.

From the M5 join the A30 after Exeter. The A30 is the main road linking all of Cornwall and is mostly dual carriageway. Follow the A30 all the way to Penzance. There are several large, public, pay and display car parks in Penzance within walking distance of The Exchange. From Penzance, follow signs to Newlyn. On entering Newlyn, drive past the gallery on your left, and follow signs to the public, pay and display car park.
