The Engine Room, The Exchange
THE COLLABORATORS’ ANNUAL EXHIBITION
Fragment24a, an exhibition within an exhibition, is a three-strand response to Many & Beautiful Things by The Collaborators, the gallery’s collective of emerging artists aged 30 and under. Reflecting the themes of Many & Beautiful Things, this year’s exhibition will be a celebration of all that is youthful. Co-curated by Amos Jacob and Cat Gibbard.
We are now taking submissions from artists under the age of 30 to participate in the three strands comprising Fragment24a
Running concurrent to Many & Beautiful Things, Fragment24a will comprise a mixed media exhibition of work in The Engine Room at The Exchange, reflecting The Collaborators' interests and concerns; two billboard prints of still images, one for a wall at Newlyn Art Gallery, and another at The Exchange, capturing the essence of what it’s like to be young; plus an Instagram takeover on four weekends offering a different perspective during the exhibition. All three elements will explore the same themes as Many & Beautiful Things and be a record of what it is to be young now.
The exhibition in The Engine Room will be co-selected by Cat Gibbard, and Amos Jacob, a young curator and producer of The Thrown Gauntlet festival in Falmouth. The images for the billboards will be co-selected by Oliver Udy of Antler Press and Blair Todd.
