From Wilhelmina Barnes-Graham’s linear studies to Barbara Hepworth’s natural forms, there is a connection to the landscape and a sense of place that has drawn artists to live and work in St Ives.

Sarah’s paintings capture a feeling of softness from the ocean and the grounding forms of the landscape, bringing focus to the purity of colour and simplicity of mark making. Each piece translates movement in the landscape with immediate brush strokes on canvas.

Large scale paintings touch on the meditative process of working by hand and are framed in unfinished oak, bringing focus to the natural simplicity of materials.
