Living through this pandemic has made me reflect on my need to get back to my roots in the north

Bought packets at the beginning of lockdown and watching them grow has been so rewarding

I was unable to place flowers on my family grave lockdown so I cross-stitched some instead!

…Nobody’s perfect

As lockdown eased, I felt more hopeful that I could resume doing the things I love – seeing family & friends

Towards the end of lockdown, I decided to continue to walk and paint plein air along the White Horse Trail to capture the changing seasons over a full year.

Lichen covered a path held deep in the woods since 1940 now overtaken by nature. Cracks burgeoning with new growth. A clear metaphor for the future – we should pay clear attention to the the new growth between a crack.
