A DOUBLE HELPING OF TEA, CAKE & ART

Many, many thanks to everyone that supported our Christmas campaign.
We aimed to serve a double helping of Tea, Cake & Art to more older people living with loneliness this year, and we hit our Christmas target!

Tea, Cake & Art is a friendly and inclusive session for older people living alone who would like to spend time with others, making new friends and gaining wellbeing benefits through art and creativity. We are running over-capacity now, and receive regular requests to join from more people. We recognised that, in times of hardship, we shouldn’t cut back on this weekly social for people who feel isolated, and already excluded from social interaction because of age and health. Our aim was to double up on our sessions, and support more people needing connections that matter in their lives.

With the help of our brilliant supporters we raised £4,131 in donations and associated Gift Aid towards our annual Tea, Cake & Art target, and thanks to you, the new double sessions begin in February at The Exchange.
