We warmly welcome school groups at both of our award-winning venues, showcasing the very best of national and international contemporary art, including that produced in the region.
Groups can be self-directed, following their own curriculum interests or they can take an artist-led approach, which will investigate the themes of an exhibition, through creative thinking and doing.

INTRODUCTION TO THE GALLERY & EXHIBITION
Groups are welcome to make self-directed visits, however it is essential that these are booked in advance. On booking, we will send you additional information on the current exhibitions. A brief introduction to the gallery and the exhibition by a member of the programme team is available on request.
FREE – donations welcome.
These 90-minute sessions are led by a member of our Programming Team. After a brief introduction to the exhibition, the group will be encouraged to discuss thoughts and opinions on the work and then to respond creatively.
Please bring own sketch book, all other materials provided.
This full or half-day artist led session will be directly informed by the current exhibition. It will begin with a tour and discussion, followed by a workshop responding to the exhibiting artist(s) and their work. The development of ideas and experimentation in methods and media is key to these sessions.
Basic materials provided.
£350 per ½ day
£475 per full day
MAXIMUM GROUP NUMBERS
Please note that the maximum number in all group visits and workshops is 25. If the class is larger we strongly recommend the group is split into two or more visits. A deposit of 20% of the total cost will be required upon booking.
