GALLERY GREEN DAY

BOTH OUR VENUES WILL BE CLOSED ON WED 15 MAR FOR STAFF TRAINING

We will be holding our first Gallery Green Day, for all staff, volunteers and trustees.

It will be an opportunity for everyone at the gallery to find out about, and contribute to, the gallery’s Green Agenda: what we’re doing so far, and what we plan to do. Environmental Responsibility is one of our key principles, with a commitment to a more sustainable way of presenting our programme to you.

Our Green Agenda will cover all aspects of our operations, from exhibition installing, to Front-of-House, the shops and cafés, to how we do things behind the scenes. Speakers will include Grace Ryder of GEP Environmental, David Edmonds from Mount’s Bay Marine Group, Rachael Reid, Cornwall Council Waste and Recycling Community Support Officer, and Lynne Dyer from Growing Links. We will also be showing a film from Cornwall Climate Stories.

The training will bring together everyone involved with the gallery and together we will develop our Green Agenda and start implementing more sustainable practices across all that we do, building on our existing Environmental Policy & Aims.

We will be sharing outcomes of the day, what we are achieving, and equally where we still have ways to improve, here on our website and across our social channels.

We apologise for any inconvenience, but hope that you can visit on another occasion.
