The Engine Room, The Exchange

Free workshop for adults

Join Hospital Rooms and painter Chantal Joffe for a playful workshop at The Exchange. We will be exploring ideas for a new artwork that Chantal will be creating for Carbis Ward, an inpatient mental health ward at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital.

Using coloured paper, we will create collages that depict ourselves, friends or family. Taking inspiration from artists like Henri Matisse, Romare Bearden and Alex Katz, we will think about shapes and colours, abstraction and figuration.

The workshop is aimed at people who have lived experience of inpatient mental health services, either themselves or through friends, family, colleagues or people they care for. More information can be found via the booking link, but if you have any questions that we haven’t answered, please email [email protected]
