This year’s event aims to connect Secondary School Art Teachers and Heads of Art more thoroughly with the creative sector in Cornwall and nationally – and includes the following content:

Portfolio session led by Duncan Cameron, Course Leader for the Falmouth Integrated Foundation Year, Falmouth University: the discussion will focus on pathways into creative careers, and you are invited to share examples of student work and current classroom challenges with your peers.

Workshop with printmaker Annabel Wilkesmonoprinting inspired by the rich variety of plants thriving in the Cornish maritime climate.

Speakers and talks:

  • Lala Thorpe, Learning Curator, Arts Council Collection: on the collection’s resources and how schools can access them (Zoom).
  • Kate Clayton-Jackson, Learning Manager, Royal Cornwall Museum: what is the Cornwall Council Schools Art Collection and how to borrow artwork.
  • Laura Giles, Managing Director, Screen Cornwall: introducing the Creative Careers programme and resources funded by Cornwall Council’s Creative & Cultural Team.
