Newlyn Art Gallery
To accompany Craftschool, the summer exhibition at Newlyn Art Gallery, we are offering FREE one-hour taster classes led by regional makers, plus longer classes on selected Saturdays. The classes are relaxed and friendly, and aimed at absolute beginners (U12s must be accompanied by an adult). Though the one-hour classes are free with admission, a donation is requested for materials.

In this class you will be guided through the process of carving text into slate by master stone mason Andrew Bird.

Indigo Dye Workshop
Bring along a natural cotton, linen or woollen garment and use traditional dying and resist techniques to dye it in the indigo vat.
Please wear old clothes or ones that you don’t mind turning blue.
Age 10 yrs and over, all welcome (U12s accompanied by an adult), no experience necessary.
£10 per person.
