A workshop for children aged 7 to 13.
In this two-hour workshop artist Catherine Lucktaylor will guide you to create your own Adinkra Clay Rattle. We will use specially made textured Adinkra moulds to press into slabs of clay. These will then be joined together with balls of clay wrapped in paper and once fired you will have your own unique musical instrument.
The Adinkra symbols are ancient symbols from Ghana in west Africa and you will learn about the meanings of the symbols you choose for your rattle.
Please wear old clothes as this workshop might get messy.
£8 per child, limited spaces available.
