We have two sessions led by Peter Lower.
No need to book, just turn up! You can do one or both sessions.

10:30 – 12:30: Create a handheld Camera Obscura out of household materials while learning about the inside workings of a camera and the human eye in the process. The camera obscura is a way of projecting an image through a lens onto a surface. As the precursor to photography the camera obscura dates back to the ancient Greece.
£2 donation towards materials, please wear old clothes.

13.00 – 15.00: Cyanotypes are a Victorian photography technique invented by scientist John Hershel (of telescope fame) and use sunlight to produce prints of deep Prussian blue and white. We will experiment with creating prints from an array of plants and household objects.
