CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP FOR 7 TO 11 YEAR OLDS
Weave a colourful web representing friends, family, pets and places of importance in your life. Inspired by our Social Fabric exhibition, you will weave fabric scraps and ribbons around a simple willow shape – considering your social connections through games and activities. Explore who you are and take home a beautiful tactile artwork reminding you how you belong and how you are connected to each other and everything around you.
This workshop is led by Maya Ronchetti, a Cornwall-based artist often working with natural materials. Maya also works all over Cornwall running well-being workshops, as the Primary Schools Coordinator for a local charity. She has enjoyed running craft workshops each year at festivals such as Tropical Pressure and believes in the importance of creativity in children’s lives, especially if it draws them closer to nature.
£8 per child, all materials provided.
