WITCHY WOMEN OF CORNWALL

31 Oct 2024

10:30 — 12:30

The Engine Room, The Exchange

FREE CHILDREN’S HALLOWEEN WORKSHOP

  • Suitable for children aged 4-11 years, with parent/carer support
  • Drop in between 10.30 – 12.30

Imagine the favourite woman in your life as a witch – good, bad or both!
What is her witchy name and where does she live?
What special potions does she make and does she keep a magic pet?
Can she do that amazing thing of changing shape from witch to animal or into a tree?
And perhaps most importantly, what are the magical things she does for you?

This children’s Halloween workshop involves creating a witchy portrait using drawing, cutting, sticking and some optional written words.

Women of Cornwall is a project by Art Centre Penryn and ceramic artist Katie Bunnell working in partnership with Kresen Kernow and Hypatia Trust. It will create an exciting new collection of 50 plates featuring women of Cornwall.

The first stage of the project invites everyone to nominate a woman to feature on a plate. To find out more and make your nomination visit www.artcentrepenryn.org/womenofcornwall

Women of Cornwall is generously supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
