CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP

Suitable for 6 to 11 year olds.

What happens when river meets sea, and why does it matter?

Together we will take a close look at life on the saltmarsh and the organisms that inhabit these muddy, flat, coastal lands. Through interactive storytelling and making you will put your learnings into practice. You will create your own mudflat tile brimming with tiny creatures and plant life, and we will end the session with a game (psst – Maya will bring her rainbow coloured parachute again!).

£8 per child, booking essential as places limited

Please wear old clothes as we will get messy!

This workshop is led by Maya Ronchetti, a Cornwall based artist often working with natural materials. Maya also works as a teaching assistant in a Cornish School and has enjoyed running craft workshops each year at festivals such as Tropical Pressure. She believes in the importance of creativity in children’s lives, especially if it draws them closer to nature.
