Working in partnership with schools and colleges both locally and nationally, we raise funds to co-develop bespoke projects and activities that support children and young people’s academic and social development.

Title: Textile Deep Dive
School: Humphry Davy
Duration: 6 hours
Funding: Headley Trust
Working with textile makers Sara Clasper and Sarah Perry from Make-a-Mends in Redruth, Year 9 students from Humphry Davy School immersed themselves in textiles for the day, working collaboratively to produce a motivational banner for their classroom. The group were joined by Falmouth University Fine Art intern, Liv Pattimore, who shared her creative education journey.
Title: The Intergenerational Project
School: Newlyn
Duration: 6 x 2.5 hour sessions over 6 weeks
Funding: The Art Fund
Working collaboratively with artist Ellie Robinson-Carter, Newlyn Primary school and the Paul Nature Group explored the theme of climate change and the coastline. This cross-curricular project gave children the opportunity to discover climate change concerns and solutions in their local area and to discuss and explore these ideas with their elders.

Duration: 3 months
Funding: Engage as part of their Let’s Create programme
A hybrid project in partnership with Focal Point Gallery inviting young people between the age of 14 – 18 in Essex and West Penwith to reflect on the question What does climate change mean for coastal communities? Selected outcomes were exhibited in both locations as part of the galleries main exhibition programmes.

Duration: an 18 month Continued Professional Development programme
Funder: Paul Hamlyn Foundation
With artworks selected from the Arts Council Collection and Cornwall Council Schools Art Collection, in-school galleries were the inspiration for a programme of live and digital CPDL for teachers and senior staff led by artist-educators. Learning through art to develop language and oracy, using it as a tool to open up subjects across curricula.

School: Mounts Bay Academy
Duration: 18 Months
Funder: National Portrait Gallery
A project connecting Year 10 Art & Design students from Mounts Bay Academy with the award-winning artist, Joy Gregory, together producing artworks to display alongside a selection made by the students from the National Portrait Gallery’s Collection, for exhibition at The Exchange and the newly redeveloped NPG.
