Vacancy: Senior Finance Manager

Salary: £30,125 – 34,923 pro rata (Band 8)
Part-time, 15 hours per week with possibility of increased hours or salary for support role by negotiation

We wish to appoint a candidate to provide lead finance support to this ambitious and highly regarded charity.

The successful applicant will have a can-do attitude and be a determined problem-solver. They will be an excellent communicator, who is able to convey complex financial principles and data to non-financial specialists at all levels within the organisation. They will also be highly organised and proactive, with excellent inter-personal skills and demonstrate a high-level of attention to detail.

We are ideally looking to appoint this part-time role by late August – or sooner – in order to provide for a detailed handover with the current incumbent.

The appointment will be made on the basis of working 15 hours per week. However, resource has been allocated to either increase these hours by a further 7.5 hours a week, or create a part-time supporting position. The appointee will be fully involved in deciding which option is taken.    

Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange is Cornwall’s leading contemporary visual arts Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation. We recently secured £1.5m to support our work until 2022 with the rest of our income generated through commercial activities, donations and income for trusts and foundations.
